Job Description

  • Support your Seniors in planning and budgeting for the audit engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to provide extra value to clients, and escalate to the engagement manager.
  • Proactively seek tasks/ projects when allocated.
  • Delegate tasks to interns wherever possible
  • Gain understating of client business/ industry and the business environment in which it operates.
  • Contribute to improving systems and processes (timesheets, leave records, expenses claims).
  • Be aware o the latest accounting and auditing standards.
  • Ensure audit methodology is followed in all assignments.
  • Regular submissions/ postings to knowledge databases.
  • Ensure self development through continous learning and training.
  • Review work done by interns
  • Establish & maintain good working relationships with clients ( adapt to changed work environment at different clients/ locations).
  • Be a role model in demonstrating commitment to excellence in client service.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of engagement as per client’s expectations.
  • Use of GAM Methodology
  • Continous monitoring of time and costs during the assignment.
  • Deliver as per time and costs budgets.
  • Compliment the directions of your engagement manager – Lead the team, motivate and develop them, assign roles and responsibilities, assess their performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Must have strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
  • Should have handled statutory audit assignments earlier.
  • Should be a team player with a proactive and result oriented approach.
  • Ability to prioritize, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
  • Excellent presentation and English communication skills required.

Job Description

1. To assist our Sr. Audit Managers to conduct the program of audits, consultations and investigations which are of service to the Board and Management

2. Promotes the system of internal controls across the organization through identifying the core areas in the system and implementing the controls in consultation with users

3. Planned and supplemental programs of regular audits of business units and business processes that cut across all organizational units

4. To conducts investigations in suspected financial irregularities whether reported by whistleblowers or uncovered in the regular course of quits or based on concerned conveyed by management

5. To assist in reviewing management, financial and operating controls

6. To appraise their soundness and adequacy, as to whether, the systems of internal control effected by the Board / Management and delegated to other personnel, provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of objectives in the following categories

• Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Job Description:
1. Assist in review of audit scope- plan. Develop an audit plan

2. Candidate must have a background in audit, control or risk management function.
3. Knowledge of operational risk and the regulatory environment is essential
4. A general understanding of the Insurance Industry & its regulators. An understanding of best practice in auditing is desirable
5. Strong analytical experience. Ability to solve problems and communicate at all levels
6. Undertake a minimum of 40 – 50% travel across the country
