Job Description :
Restructuring assignment in respect of investments made by foreign venture capital fund in a domestic fund with special emphasis on income tax and SEBI and applicable FEMA regulations and associated on-going advisory services
1. Planning and advise in relation to setting up an offshore venture capital fund for investing in India
2. Formulating effective and tax-efficient cross-border strategies for both inbound and overseas investments
3. Analyzing the tax impact of transactions holistically having regard to direct tax, regulatory and transfer pricing implications
4. Providing opinions on transactions from a domestic law and tax treaty viewpoint
5. Identifying and addressing potential problem areas in the course of undertaking day to day business activities
6. Direct tax due diligence review for proposed acquisition of shares in Indian companies
7. Valuation of shares proposed to be issued by an Indian company to a non resident in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and advise in connection therewith
8. Preparing submissions and appearing for assessment and appellate proceedings involving double taxation avoidance as well as domestic income tax issues
9. Preparing and filing income tax returns for domestic as well as foreign companies

Desired Candidate Profile :
Chartered Accountant with 2-4 years of post qualification work experience, pleasing personality and go-getter attitude. Prior experience in Big-4 preferred but is not a pre-requisite. Candidates from medium-sized firms are also welcome.
