Job Description

• Help Audit Manager in development of Audit Plan.
• Help Audit Manager in preparation of department financial budget.
• Help Audit Manager in preparation of Audit Committee presentation.
• Conduct preliminary review to get background knowledge of the audit to be performed and to determine objective and scope  of the audit and make recommendations to the Audit Manager.
• Identify and prioritize risks in an Audit Program, review control design and deficiencies, develop audit steps. Identify  and document control design and deficiencies, document audit steps performed in the Audit Program.
• Perform field work reviewing data and information, interacting with auditee, recording minutes of meetings, performing  tests and carrying out their analysis, recording and evaluating results.
• Inform Audit Manager about progress of the audit on day to day basis, discussing results of field work, audit issues and  problems faced during the audit.
• Attend important meetings with the auditee.
• Update Audit Manager on progress of the audit.
• Discuss audit results with auditee.
• Prepare draft audit report for review of Audit Manager.
• Develop knowledge of SAP reports and controls, ACL software.
• Obtain and update knowledge on principles, practices and standards in Internal Auditing and best practices in areas under  audit.
• Perform administrative functions relating to the department’s activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of experience in internal audit function in a reputed firm of Chartered Accountants orinternal audit department of a medium to large-scale company.
• Certified Internal Auditor from the IIA.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
• Sound technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point) – a must. Hands on exposure to any kind of ERP will be a distinct advantage.
• Reasoning & analytical ability.
• Team player with ‘work hard and play hard’ attitude.
