Baroc Capital Advisory Services Pvt Ltd provides investment advisory services for making public and private investments in India and global markets. It is a small team of three people – all employees of the company are from prestigious educational institutions and have worked with high quality companies like McKinsey, Citigroup and Lehman Brothers.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
There will be two key components of the job:
First component will be to manage the entire operations related work for investments and trades executed by our clients. This will include the following:

• Coordinating trade execution
• Reconciliation after trade execution
• Monitoring all existing positions for key events e.g. dividends, interest payments, redemption, rights issues, etc.
• Coordinating with all banks/ brokers/ administrators and custodians on behalf of our clients in India and abroad.
• Designing and implementing back office processes to improve our efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Preparing MIS reports
• Monitoring transactions expenses related to custody, brokerage, and other transaction charges.

Second component will be to manage finance and accounting related activities of the company. This will include the following:

• Coordinating with third party service providers which provide accounting, company secretary, tax and audit services.
• Coordinating with banks
• Managing petty cash and deploying extra cash in FDs etc
• Paying bills of suppliers on time
• Coordinating filing of income tax returns for our key clients
• In addition if the candidate has the aptitude and interest, he or she can help the investment research team in data gathering and analysis.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate who is a Chartered Accountant by training and has work experience of 4-6 years in a reputed organization. This opportunity will appeal to a candidate who is interested in making a career in operations area of fund management. Candidate should be efficient, high energy, smart, result oriented and a self starter. Proficiency in English language is important. We expect the candidate to have the requisite computer skills and be well versed in using the internet. Level of designation (Managerial/Non Managerial) Managerial Finance and Operations.
