Designation: Team Leader – TP (US Taxation)

Job Description:

Management of business license information received from the staff to be forwarded to jurisdictions and client sites as appropriate. The position would primarily serve the existing business license staff as required including, but not limited to, assisting with preparation of business license applications and renewals, receipt of original licenses, making staffing recommendations, training of new staff, providing process improvements, contributing to the overall client management process and assist in day to day tasks as needed.

Business License Renewals :

Assist with timely and accurately preparing approximately 3,000 high quality business license renewals and submit to management for review.
Receive and accurately forward original licenses to clients as required.
Prepare initial applications as requested or required by assigned clients.
Prepare timely and first time accurate funds requests for assigned clients for review by management.
Analyze funds received versus funds requested and determine the proper follow up necessary with the client to resolve any discrepancies.
Initiate payment requests as required.
Work directly with Implementations Team to transition and assume responsibility for new clients
Communicate with business license staff on a regular basis.

Support Business Licenses in OWM

Logging of appropriate tasks within OWM.
Timely and accurate scanning of licenses and attaching to the appropriate workflows in OWM.

Notice Resolution:

Promptly analyze, prioritize and respond to jurisdictional notices for assigned clients.

Discuss cause of notice with staff and at the jurisdictions in order to determine resolution efforts.

Determine root cause for notices generated for clients and take corrective action to prevent notice reoccurrence

Determine with the staff if data corrections are needed or if renewals need to be filed for additional tax jurisdictions.

Research and Development:

Research of business license rules, forms and rates primarily through jurisdiction websites and contact as appropriate.
Actively expand expertise in core job functions.
Complete and execute individual development plan.
Work closely with staff levles to help mentor and develop their understanding of the application of business license compliance and overall client service.

Desired Profile: Experience and Education Background: (Mandatory)

4-6 years Transaction Domain experience, from a MNC-BPO environment. Knowledge of tax calculation systems and experience with Telecommunications taxes preferred.

1 year minimum experience of handling a team on papers

Bachelor’s Degree (, or Tax domain).

Knowledge and Skills:

* Speaks fluent English
* US Standard working hours (8am – 8pm EST)
* Ability to understand defined process for content management and the relationship of the process to other teams to identify impact upon others
* Working knowledge of Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access.
