Job Description :

To develop and support the business planning process and production of Management Information in respect of AEGON Religare Life Insurance Company. This involves setting up the necessary systems, processes and controls to ensure robust, timely and meaningful reporting. Develop and execute the business planning process to ensure that budgets and forecasts are prepared on a timely basis for submission to Management and shareholders. Monitor and assist the Management in meeting their key targets. Establish systems and processes to ensure that reports are developed and maintained in compliance with Management requirements and in adherence with all relevant accounting policies. Review initiatives from business and their alignment with the overall operating plan and business plan considering cost and profitability Develop and execute the reporting and monitoring of channel profitability and branch profitability and develop product profitability reports in conjunction with actuarial team Understanding the financial and non-financial reporting data required to meet management reporting and decision making requirements and working with other areas of the business to identify the source and method of capturing that data. Introduce and ensure optimal use of technology to maximize efficiency and minimize manual operations. Responsible to work in a integrated manner with the Planning & MIS team delivering results towards the team goals. Coaching team personnel as required in the relevant areas of expertise Skills in understanding business and the key plan and budget drivers Ability to analyse information and summarize key findings in presentations and documents Possess an understanding of financial services in India Perseverance in getting the required information and completing tasks in a timely manner Should exhibit a high level of integrity and lay emphasis on setting ethical standards across the organization; should be able to lead by example Is able to champion the use of technology within the function to improve the business performance Ability to get into informed discussions and challenge sessions with various departments over planning and budget related matters and new initiative proposals Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a good team player Ability to work at a detailed level with accuracy Ability to contribute and represent Finance at a Business level A qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or CIMA or MBA Finance.

The candidate should have experience of working within the Planning and MIS function of a Life Insurance Company for at least 2 years. Should have overall post qualification experience of 4-6 years.
