Job Description

1) Project Feasibility Analysis
2) Project Accounting & Reporting
3) Knowledge of indirect taxes like service tax, income tax, VAT etc.

Desired Profile

1) Project Feasibility Analysis:

Project Bills / Vendor Payments System
SAP knowledge (FI & M)
Identification and aggregation of net project benefits like Tariff modeling, Cash flows and Debt service Ratio.
Assessment of Capital and Operating cost needs for ongoing operations, augmentations and new capital investment proposals.

2) Project Accounting & Reporting:

Responsible for Project Accounting, Closure, Capitalization, WIP etc.
Monitoring of Project budgets.
Project Expenditure allocation.
Preparation of various MIS for project performance & work monitoring and update higher management helping them to take informed business decision.

3) Knowledge of indirect taxes like service tax, income tax, VAT etc.

4)Concurrence:

Commercial Terms and Price evaluation of all tenders.
Evaluating the Financial Position of the bidder’s vis-à-vis the financial involvement of the underlying work.

5) Statutory & Compliance Functions:

Dealing with Service Tax & Income Tax authorities and ensure deposition of statutory liabilities before deadline.
Preparing and raising ISD invoices for Service Tax Cenvat Credit.
Delivering relevant MIS reports on Single tender, Confessional Custom duty, Capital Commitment etc. Handing electronic transactions for Filing of TDS and other payments etc
Related Ledger scrutiny & Preparations of Relevant Accounts.

Others:

- Internal Audits, Statutory Audits and Tax Audits.
- Preparation of Financial Statements and filling of tax return.
- Monitoring of all revenue related MIS

The position is based at MAITHON location and selected candidate would be on the payrolls of MPL Ltd. (Subsidiary of Tata Power).
