Position: Compliance officer

Description: The ideal candidate should have:

• Professional accounting qualifications, CA/CIA or equivalent.
• Around 5-7 years experience at managerial level and from 3-5 years at executive level in the internal audit function, preferably in a diverse local or multinational conglomerate group.
• Knowledge of operational risk management and good experience in financial, management, operational and MIS audit will be highly regarded.
• Self motivated with ability to operate independently and work efficiency in a team regarded.
• Self motivated with ability to operate independently and work efficiency in a team environment.
• Conceptual skills and the ability to effectively manage teams at managerial level.
• Ability to speak and write fluency in English.
• The overall objective of this role is to plan, organize and carry out the compliance function including the preparation of an audit plan, to report to the management on the compliance of policies, programmes and activities of various departments, to work with management to ensure a system is in place which ensures that all major risks of the company are identified and analysed on am annual basis and to provide the management with opinion on the internal controls in the company.
